'Squiggle' is by the internationally renowned supersire Weltmeyer out of Aurum Belle who is by Floodway. Weltmeyer of course should need no introduction to dressage enthusiasts. He is almost certainly the most famous dressage stallion of the modern age! Some people have remarked that Weltmeyer is past history, but a cursory look at recent top dressage results both in Australia and Internationally will show the opposite to be true. Weltmeyer continues to produces top horses, beating many of the so-called 'new stars'. Squiggle's dam Aurum Belle was bred by Aurum out of a super moving Vain line mare. She was retained in the breeding herd and so has never been broken in or competed. Each of her foals has inherited her wonderful expressive movement. She is one of those rare horses who combines wonderful floating strides with excellent knee and hock action hence producing natural power and elevation. She also passes on great presence to all of her foals. Aurum Belle is by Floodway who was by Flooding out of a Northern Warmbloods mare. Flooding was the sire of a number of Grand Prix Show Jumpers, including two time Olympic representative Another Flood, and also 3 & 4* eventers including Tidal Wave and Let it Rain, who was exported to the US and completed the Rolex 4* three day event. Aurum also stands a Flooding son (Aurum Flash Flood). Our experience of the Flooding horses has been that they produce excellent movement as well as jumping ability. Aurum Belle is the dam of our young stallion Aurum Rivière d'Or (by Regardez Moi) who is blessed with outstanding movement and an excellent aptitude for training. Her next foal was Aurum Revoir (also by Regardez Moi) who is perhaps an even nicer young horse, currently training with Dale Flynn in SA and also showing a wonderful aptitude for learning. With Belle's ability to throw movement, confidence and trainability we expected excellent results with Weltmeyer and have not been disappointed with Squiggle. This young filly has outstanding uphill, elevated and forward movement with real balance and power behind. On top of that she has eye-catching looks and an unmistakable unique blaze which will ensure she is instantly recognisable in the competition world,
