This elegant young horse is really starting to produce some great work. Shown here in some pics at the recent Candlebark and Avenal Horse Trials in the Preliminary classes. He is extremely honest across country. Has done a number of intro and prelim events including Candlebark last season where he finished (as he normally does) on his dressage score. Several knowledgeable people have commented on his potential as a 3 or 4 star horse. Currently in work with Robyn Brown but is for sale. Ready to do Pre-Novice.

Aurigan has inherited his father's elegant looks. He has really beautiful movement with great elevation and elasticity which is not surprising given his heritage. He has good enough movement to make a wonderful dressage horse. It would be a shame not to use that fantastic jumping ability though!

Aurigan is by Aurum Alloy a son of A grade showjumper McCartney out of a super moving thoroughbred mare Begum Belle (dec) who was one of Aurum's foundation thoroughbred mares. Alloy has real power and elevation with a great willingness to work under saddle. His foals show a beautiful elastic movement which is readily apparent at the walk as well as in trot and canter. McCartney is of course by Souvenir and this line is one of the most famous producers of performance horses in Australia. There have been many serious horses in this line up to Olympic standard including Irish Jester, Peppermint Grove and Kibah Sandstone amongst others. Begum Belle carries the Vain bloodline, present also in the fabulous Brilliant Invader horses.

Aurigan's dam has a very interesting pedigree. By Wonderful, a son of Weltmeyer out of the well known Trakhener mare Frauenberg, she also has Aachen as her maternal grandfather (Aachen was the sire of Belcam Aalto). This line has produced a number of top international dressage and jumping horses.
